latex - Fullpage picture in two column layout -

I would like to insert a picture into a document that is using a two-column layout. However, I want it to take a full page and should not be centered on one of the columns. Currently if I add a [p] modifier to a figure, then the whole image on the last page is land, instead of between the documents.

How can I force a page to switch back to a single column layout and put a big picture there?

\

  \ begin { Document} \ start {multicols} {2} blah blah blah text \ end {Multicols} \ start {number} {hj} / code>

This is ugly and filthy. And you will need basic where you have been depicted to balance the text, but this is what you asked.
