How do I keep Emacs org-mode from splitting windows? -

I am a new emacs user using emacs for awesome organization-mode. All my pages have links to all of my ORG files, but every time I click on a link that divides my window, so I only have more than half the screen estate available how can I set it up Do not split the Imax window horizontally, but a new window opens for my link?

I'm assuming that you mean that you want to open the link in a new frame. (AMABC's terminology is slightly different from other GUI applications, because MACX has predicted X11. In the other app called "window" which is called "frame" in the amax because the "window" is already in iMax There was a special meaning, and was used in the names of many functions.) Now what is happening is that you have a frame with a window, and AMACS has two windows. A window is split.

You need to customize the org of search-file-other-frame instead of the default search-file-other-window To use-link-frame-setup .

You can type it in Mx customize-variable & lt; ENTER> Organization-link-frame-setup & lt; ENTER> Click find-file-other-window next to Value Menu and select find-file-other-frame , then Click Save for future sessions.
