api - Google Maps Mashup using C++ -

Is it possible to try to make Google Maps Mashup by using C ++ or is it appropriate? I would need to be able to display 150 places around the county and when people click on the push pin, the pin will need to pop up and possibly a brief description of the scenario.

C ++ is the only language I know because I've read all this in school so far. This is not the work of homework, but I think I can do it for work and for fun.

This is definitely possible (for example, as a standalone GUI application) But, what Is this advice? I will not say that unless you plan to do it as a learning project.
